I became hooked on the Rubik's Cube during an extreme case of ennui in the July 2005, I had two of these puzzles, incomplete, sitting by my bed and I decided to solve them that afternoon. After briefly looking up a solution online and printing it, I spent the next four hours trying to figure the cube out with the instructions I had. Obviously I finally got it, and I have been hooked since then.

The following summer (2006) I went to the US Nationals in San Francisco, I didn't do so well, in fact never even got past the preliminary rounds, but that didn't really matter it was amazing being there those three days anyway. I've gone to two other competitions since then and have gotten significantly faster.

Naturally I'm still speedsolving today, below are various categories I have comprised to help the general and intermediate speedcuber.
